Social media influencer Saida Boj has weighed in on the heated exchange between Seun Kuti and Wizkid, expressing strong disapproval of how the former is handling the situation. She argued that the public conflict is becoming unnecessary and is beginning to tarnish the legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
The Ultimate Sign of Respect
Saida pointed out that Wizkid has already demonstrated his reverence for the legend by permanently inking Fela’s image on his skin. She questioned why Seun ignores this visible proof of respect.
She said:
“The person wey you dey drag get tattoo of your papa for him body. What does that tell you? Isn’t that enough proof that he knows your father is a legend? Isn’t that enough proof that he respects your father?”
Unnecessary Drama
The influencer emphasized that Seun is manufacturing conflict where none exists. She warned that prolonging the argument serves no purpose other than to distract from the respect that has already been established.
She added:
“These are things you don’t need to prove. Respect is already clear. Dragging it this way only ends up disrespecting Fela’s legacy,”
“I feel like he’s trying to create drama out of something that is already obvious. The respect is already there, so why make it an issue?”
