The terror group’s October 7 atrocity will occur “again and again” until Israel is “annihilated,” according to a Hamas leader. Hamas’ deputy foreign minister, Ghazi Hamad, stated to a broadcaster on Wednesday, November 1, that throughout the terrorists’ heinous rampage through southern Israel, which resulted in the cold-blooded murder of over 1,400 Israelis, they ‘did not wish to hurt civilians’. He claimed that only “complications on the ground” had led the terror group to act in this way. He was alluding to the Nova Festival Massacre, in which numerous defenseless youth were shot dead, disfigured, and abducted. During his address, he told a broadcaster that “everything we do is justified on October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000″ and vowed to undertake more strikes.
An earlier brag by Mr. Hamad said that the terror group ‘demonstrated that Israel is beatable’ and that the Israelis’ deaths during the festival, either inside their homes or while fleeing, ‘destroyed the idea of Israel as a military powerhouse’. He dismissed the tragic toll of the Israel-Hamas conflict, the worst and most catastrophic of the five conflicts that the two sides have fought since 2007, as a “necessary price in blood.”
Mr. Hamad recently declared that “we are the victims” and that “everything [Hamas] do is justifiable” while vowing to drive Israel out of what he claimed to be Palestinian territory. “We are a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs,” he said, announcing that the terror group was prepared to pay the ultimate price. In remarks made on the same day that Iran-backed Houthi rebels fired missiles and drones from Yemen in a scary escalation of a war that might engulf the region, Mr. Hamad boasted that Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7 is “changing the Middle East.”
Israel destroyed entire communities and killed 8,796 people in Gaza with withering airstrikes in retaliation for the October 7 murder. As Israeli troops begin their massive ground invasion, more casualties are anticipated.
