American singer and actress Halle Bailey has obtained a domestic violence restraining order against her former partner, rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., known professionally as DDG.
As part of the court’s ruling, DDG must stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and is barred from making public statements about her or their child. Additionally, the court granted Bailey permission to travel with their son to Italy, where she is scheduled to film for two months.
The restraining order was issued in the wake of serious abuse allegations made against DDG. In a court filing submitted in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, Bailey recounted a violent altercation that allegedly occurred in January when DDG came to pick up their 18-month-old son, Halo.
Bailey stated that the conflict intensified when she attempted to discuss visitation arrangements. According to reports from TMZ, she claimed DDG became hostile and yelled, “Get out of my car, BITCH,” while she was securing their son in a car seat—an outburst that left the child in tears.
She reportedly provided police with video footage showing DDG damaging her ring camera and throwing her phone, along with photographs of injuries, including a bruised arm and a chipped tooth.
It is worth noting that Bailey and DDG reportedly ended their relationship in October 2024.
