Hadiza Abubakar, a Nollywood actress, has expressed gratitude to her colleague Mercy Johnson for saving her life.
The actress turned to Instagram to explain what happened to her on set while filming a movie and how she nearly died.
She claimed she was assigned a role in which she was meant to tumble into a swimming pool. However, she began drowning during the scene, but the movie directors and everyone seated around her assumed she was acting until Mercy Johnson called their attention to the fact that she was losing her air.
She wrote;
“Almost drowned while filming on set yesterday, but everyone thought I was acting. It dawned on them after some seconds, and I was losing my breath. Thanks to Aunty Mercy Johnson and the stuntman who noticed after some seconds and helped me out.”
