Eyewitnesses said unidentified gunmen stormed the Dass Divisional police station in Dass local government area of Bauchi state around 9pm on Friday night.
gunmen invaded the area in a commando style shooting intensely in different directions while using explosives on the police station.
Residents of the area fled into safety as the gunfight continued into the night.
It will be the second attack in Bauchi state in the last twenty four hours. On Thursday gunmen on motorbike shot and killed two people at Zango area of Bauchi metropolis.
We could not confirm from the police in the state if the attack has been brought under control as the police spokesperson in the state did not return calls and text messages.
