Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has confirmed the appointment of Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.
The announcement was made on Friday.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, revealed that the Oyomesi, after extensive consultations and traditional divinations, recommended Owoade for the position.
The governor has officially approved the recommendation.
