The Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has presented a N1 million cheque each to  Jesus Aisose Oliha and Paris Eniyen Oliha, children of the late former Super Eagles  footballer, Mr Thompson Oliha.
Thompson Oliha was a key member of the Super Eagles team that won the Nations Cup in Tunisia in 1994, and also went on to be part of Nigeria’s team to her debut at the World Cup in USA same year.
The presentation which also had in attendance  the widows of the late footballer, Mrs Ajarat Oliha and Mrs Iris Oliha, held at  the Governor’s House in Benin City on Friday 18th October 2013.
Late Mr Thompson Oliha was a former Super Eagles midfielder and was one of the coaches at the Kwara State football academy before he died Sunday June 30th, 2013. He played for Bendel Insurance (1985-1987), Iwuanyanwu Nationale (1988-1991), Africa Sports (1992-1993), Maccabi Ironi Ashdod F.C. (1993-1994) and Antalyaspor (1994-1995).
