ENUGU — The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has confiscated fake imported goods worth N2.5 million in Enugu.
Deputy Director of the agency at the Akanu-Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, Mr. John Okwori said ”The importer of the goods ran away on sighting NAFDAC men which made us to seize the goods,”
The director listed the goods to include 20 packets of Nakhla Tobacco with its pipe, 2,100 Easy White cream, empty containers with crowns and 575 So Mma bright skin formula cream with crowns.
Also in the sealed container were 24 packets of activated charcoal, and 2,457 stickers for So Mma bright skin formula cream, worth about N2.5 million.
Okwori said the cream container was imported by the suspect with the intention of filling it with fake liquids to sell in place of the original one.
