Pat Akpabio, the sister-in-law of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has reignited controversy over several unresolved killings allegedly linked to Akwa Ibom State during Akpabio’s tenure as governor.

In a viral Facebook video, Pat a pastor and entrepreneur launched a fierce verbal attack, accusing the Senate President of involvement in multiple assassinations both during his time as governor and as a senator.

“For all the people you (Akpabio) have killed when you were governor of Akwa Ibom and those killed now that you are in the Senate, it will never be well with you,” she declared.

Family feud and political fallout

Pat is married to Akpabio’s brother, Ibanga, who reportedly introduced the Senate President to Akwa Ibom politics in the late 1990s. Ibanga is said to have brought him from Lagos to Uyo, recommending him for appointment as a commissioner under then-Governor Victor Attah, a key step that launched Akpabio’s political career.

This latest video adds to the ongoing family feud. Pat, who has been openly critical of Akpabio in recent months, accused him of betraying political allies such as former Niger Delta Affairs Minister Umana Okon Umana, ex-APC governorship candidates Nsima Ekere and Akan Udofia, and YPP’s Bassey Albert.

She claimed that Akpabio often abandons those who once supported his rise to power and warned that his downfall is near.

“When you finish, go home. This is your quit notice,” she said, adding that Nigerians would soon find out “who he truly is.”

More accusations against Akpabio

Pat also alleged that after the 2019 senatorial election, which Akpabio lost, he accused her husband of murder and theft, claims she described as false and malicious.

She stated that despite standing by him during his political struggles, Akpabio has repaid her with betrayal and disrespect.

“I stood by you in 2019 when people wrote all sorts of things against you. Did I collect one kobo from you? Today, you have the audacity to say that you made me,” she said.

Pat further criticized Akpabio for allegedly neglecting his hometown, Ukana Ikot Ntuen, claiming the area has been in darkness for weeks despite his influential position.

Threat to reveal more secrets

Concluding her video, Pat challenged Akpabio to publicly respond to her allegations, warning that she possesses more “damaging revelations” about his alleged misconduct and infidelity.

She also called on President Bola Tinubu to be wary of the Senate President, describing him as “a very wicked man.”
