The leader of the Senate in Nigeria, Godswill Akpabio, has spoken out in response to the allegations of having multiple extramarital affairs.
A well-known blogger, Gistlover, caused a stir online by releasing the names of some women linked to the Senate President as his extramarital partners, including Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Wanneka, Ini Edo, Dakore Egbuson, and others.
Godswill Akpabio revisited a statement he made to Senator Natasha Akpoti, in which he said they were not in a place where someone needed to shout.
He acknowledged that his statement caused a commotion on social media, leading to his wife’s phone number being leaked, resulting in her receiving over three thousand calls a day and her phone crashing.
The Senate President expressed his satisfaction with the public interest in Senate affairs.
He also clarified that, contrary to the reports, he is only married to one woman and is content with her.
Godswill Akpabio also personally apologized to Senator Natasha if his statement had offended her.
