During his inauguration ceremony at Black Star Square in Accra today, January 7, Ghana’s newly sworn-in President, John Dramani Mahama, mistakenly referred to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu as the “President of Ghana” while delivering his inaugural speech.
The event, which was attended by dignitaries from across the African continent, included President Tinubu, who arrived in Accra on Monday to witness the proceedings.
This marks Mahama’s second term as president, having previously held the position from July 2012 to January 2017.
