About 10 days after lifting the nationwide lockdown, which prompted mass celebrations on their streets, Ghana has now recorded 1,032 new cases of coronavirus.

The Republic of Ghana has recorded more than 1,000 additional cases of COVID-19 since the country lifted its lockdown.

Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo lifted a three-week lockdown on the basis of “improved coronavirus testing”, on the 19th of April 2020, with the nation recording 1,042 cases, and 99 recoveries at that time.
