President Goodluck Jonathan, On June 12, 2012, announced the appointment of 93 ambassadors including Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, a former beauty queen and wife of late politician Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Bianca has been appointed as Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain. She joins 85 other ambassadors, 24 of which will act as Deputy Heads of Mission.
The other seven ambassadors fall under the In-Situ category and will operate their offices in Nigeria.
She deserves it.
Other female ambassadors include former Minister of Aviation, Fidelia Njeze, Hadiza Mustapha, Victoria Onipede, Katherine Okon, Chigozie Obi-Nnadozie, Matilda Kwashi, Katyen Jackden, Nonye Okpara, Sifawu Momoh and Martine Gereng-Sen.
