Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has revealed that the club will assess Victor Osimhen’s fitness level before determining whether he will feature in their upcoming Champions League clash against Liverpool.
Osimhen returned to action with a brief appearance in Galatasaray’s 1-0 victory over Alanyaspor on Friday, after being sidelined for three matches due to an ankle injury sustained while on international duty.
Despite making his comeback, Buruk disclosed that the Nigerian striker is still dealing with discomfort.
“We will closely evaluate his pain and physical condition before deciding on his involvement in the next match,” the coach told Turkish outlet Reformhaber.
Galatasaray are set to host Liverpool at Rams Park next Tuesday for their second Champions League group stage game.
