Funke Akindele’s latest movie, Behind the Scenes, has achieved remarkable success internationally, setting new records in multiple countries. The film has become the highest-grossing Nollywood release in both the United Kingdom and Ireland, generating £159,000, while also topping box office charts in the United States and Canada with earnings of $249,000.
The movie has also performed strongly in West Africa, grossing ₦2.7 billion, securing its place among the biggest Nollywood productions of all time.
Distributor FilmOne Entertainment described the achievement as a landmark moment for African cinema, noting that the film’s performance highlights Nollywood’s expanding global influence.
