The 95th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre and was hosted by Conan O’Brien.
At the 98th edition of the awards, Paul Thomas Anderson’s film “One Battle After Another” dominated the ceremony, winning six Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
The movie “Sinners” led the nominations with a record 16 nods and eventually secured four awards. Among them was Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, while Ryan Coogler won for Best Original Screenplay.
Another first-time Oscar winner was Jessie Buckley, who won Best Actress for her role in “Hamnet.” Meanwhile, Amy Madigan took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “Weapons.”
