Ex-NCT star Moon Taeil has been sentenced to three years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to charges of aggravated sexual assault.
The sentencing, handed down on July 10, 2025, comes after Taeil admitted to raping an intoxicated Chinese tourist in June 2024—an incident that abruptly ended his rising career.
Alongside his prison term, the court mandated that Taeil complete 40 hours of sexual violence education, register as a sex offender, and stay away from jobs involving minors for the next five years.
Taeil, once celebrated for his exceptional vocals and known globally for breaking the Guinness World Record in 2021 for the fastest time to reach one million Instagram followers, now faces a steep fall from grace following this conviction.
