Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the former Minister of Women Affairs, has made a return to the courtroom after her removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet. A video shared on social media showed the ex-minister present in court.
Kennedy-Ohanenye explained that she was at the court to support a four-year-old child who was allegedly defiled and sodomized by a teacher.
As a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Kennedy-Ohanenye also heads Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye & Co, where she provides legal services to both individuals and businesses. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1996 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1997.
In August 2023, she was appointed as the Minister of Women Affairs by President Bola Tinubu, succeeding Pauline Tallen. However, she was removed from her position in October 2024, along with four other ministers.
In the video, Kennedy-Ohanenye is seen dressed in court attire, attending to her legal duties.
