Hajia Hauwa Jega, the mother of former INEC Chairman and former Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Prof. Muhammad Attahiru Jega, has passed away.
Hajia Hauwa passed away in Abuja on Friday after a brief illness.
The family announced that funeral prayers will be held today, Saturday, at 1:30 pm at the National Mosque in Abuja, followed by her burial at Gudu Cemetery.
She was in her mid-90s and leaves behind prominent figures such as Malam Mahmud Jega, a renowned journalist and columnist, and Alhaji Abbas Jega, a former Executive Director at AMCON.
