The fashion conscious First Lady of China,Madame Peng Liyuan appears to have suffered an unfortunate make-up mishap as she arrived at the Lord Mayor’s banquet yesterday evening.
The event which was hosted by Lord Mayor Alderman Alan Yarrow and Lady Mayoress Gilly Yarrow.
Madame Peng Liyuan, who has already stepped out in several outfits during the first two days of the state visit, appeared to white powder on her forehead and nose.
It’s an unfortunate look that many celebrities have fallen victim to, including Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and Drew Barrymore.
The culprit is believed to be loose silica powder, which can create a flawless look in person but when hit by a camera flash, it bounces enough light to be show up in photographs.
Other celebrities have been caught out by the make-up faux pas, including Angelina Jolie and Drew Barrymore.
