Nigerian music sensation Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DML, has announced an exciting collaboration in the works. In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, he revealed plans for a joint Extended Play (EP) with fellow artist Lekan Osifeso Jnr., better known as Lojay.
Fireboy expressed enthusiasm about their studio chemistry, stating,
“I’m working on a joint EP with Lojay. We have a very great relationship in the studio.”
This news comes on the heels of Fireboy’s fourth studio album release, “Adedamola,” which shares his birth name. The album features a notable collaboration with legendary Nigerian afrobeat artist Bisade Ologunde, widely recognized as Lagbaja, on the track “Back N Forth.”
Recounting his experience working with Lagbaja, Fireboy praised the veteran’s professionalism:
“Lagbaja is the most meticulous artiste I ever worked with. I wished he had taken his mask off but he wore it all through our time in the studio. I learnt a lot from him during the session.”
As anticipation builds for the Fireboy-Lojay EP, fans can look forward to a blend of melodious vocals, infectious rhythms, and sincere lyrics.
