The wedding reception was underway at Yard 158, an event center in Oregun, Lagos, when the fire broke out just as the toast was about to be given.
According to the videos that have gone viral, the wedding decorations were consumed by fire while the guests sought safety.
The master of ceremonies, MC, could be heard calming the crowd and asking them to exit in an orderly fashion. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it left the hall in a terrible state.
