Nigeria’s youth women’s national team, the Falconets, are gearing up to face South Korea in their opening match of the 11th FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The match is set to take place at the 10,000-seat Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogotá, Colombia, where the Falconets will play their first two games. These are high-stakes matches that will test their mettle.
After their Monday clash against the fast and skillful South Koreans, the Falconets will go up against the reigning champions, Germany, on Wednesday night.
In a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Head Coach Chris Danjuma stressed the importance of focusing on their first challenge. “We are refining our tactics and techniques to ensure a good performance against Korea. That is our top priority. Once we achieve a positive result, we will turn our attention to Germany,” he stated.
Danjuma also highlighted the team’s readiness, saying, “I am pleased to report that there are no injuries in the camp. The girls are ready to make Nigeria proud.”
