Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture has said that subscribers to pay tv platforms do not need active subscription to view local channels.
The minister said this while addressing newsmen.
Up subscribers to DSTV and STARTIMES could not view local stations like Channels, NTA etc once their monthly subscription is exhausted.
With this new directive however if for what ever reason you are not able to renew your subscription you will still be able to watch your favourite local station.
