Nigerians will be able to travel for free on trains from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
The Federal Government announced this initiative to support Nigerians traveling for Christmas celebrations.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, shared the news during a press briefing following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday.
He confirmed that the free train rides will cover all routes currently operational under the national rail service and will last throughout the festive period, beginning December 20, 2024, and ending January 5, 2025.
