Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has responded to Facundo Pellistri’s announcement of his departure from Old Trafford, expressing his well-wishes for the player.
Fernandes praised Pellistri, telling him he “deserves the best.”
Pellistri, an Uruguayan international, is moving to Greek club Panathinaikos in a transfer deal worth approximately £6.8 million.
The 22-year-old struggled to make an impact at Manchester United, where competition from players like Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Amad Diallo limited his opportunities.
In his farewell message on Instagram, Pellistri addressed his departure from the Red Devils.
The winger took to Instagram to say his goodbye to Red Devils fans, writing,
“Dear Reds, my time has come to say goodbye. It’s been an incredible journey, full of unforgettable moments and experiences that I will cherish forever.

And in response, Fernandes said,
