It’s been nothing but tough luck for Femi Kuti at The Grammys. The well respected Afrobeat singer has been nominated a record four times but has lost out on all occasions.
This wouldn’t stop Shoki Shoki from smiling as he recently received an acknowledgement from the organizers of the greatest awards show in the world.
‘Received A medal for my nomination from the Grammy yesterday brought “smiles”‘, he wrote on his Twitter beaming with a smile. Kuti was first nominated in 2010 then in 2011, 2013 and most recently 2014.
