Shemahu Momodu has probably entered the Nigerian Guinness Books of Record as the first corps member ever to give birth on the first day of resuming for the 3 weeks orientation course at any NYSC orientation camp in Nigeria .
The NYSC Coordinator in Katsina State, Ebenezer Afolalu yesterday revealed that Shemahu Momodu, a Batch B corps member delivered a baby girl in camp, the day she arrived in camp.
He stated this during the opening ceremony of the 2012 orientation course for Batch B NYSC members deployed to the state.
According to the coordinator, the lady was delivered the at the camp clinic by some batch “B” corps doctors without complications. After a successful delivery, mother and child were referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina for further care.
