A fresh wave of controversy has hit Nollywood following the release of a damaging audio recording allegedly featuring Femi Adebayo’s wife, identified as Iyana Aladuke, in conversation with actress Olatoun Olanrewaju.
The Threats
In the leaked tape, Iyana is heard vowing to dismantle the reputation Femi Adebayo has worked hard to build. She reportedly threatened to take down his Instagram page, noting that he values his online presence deeply so that he would experience significant distress. The threats extended beyond the actor, with disturbing comments made about his father, veteran actor Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), and a vow to potentially produce a tell-all movie about the family.
Olatoun Clears Her Name
Actress Olatoun Olanrewaju, who released the audio, stated she did so to defend herself against false accusations. She claimed she was being painted as a villain who took Iyana to a shrine, whereas she insists they only went to a church to pray. Olatoun expressed frustration that her gesture of friendship was twisted into a blackmail tactic used to force Femi Adebayo to return home.
She stated:
“I took you to church to pray, and you used that to build a lie to blackmail him”
