Financial expert Geh Geh has shed light on why many upcoming artists fail to gain recognition after collaborating with Grammy award-winning star Wizkid.
According to him, featuring Wizkid does not necessarily translate to fame for rising acts because the singer’s global stardom overshadows them. He explained that the spotlight is usually centered on Wizkid, leaving little or no attention for the lesser-known artist.
Geh Geh further suggested that upcoming musicians should avoid banking on a Wizkid feature as a shortcut to success in the industry.
His words …
“How many upcoming artists wey don feature Wizkid wey blow? People dey talk say if them feature Wizkid for song De song no dey blow or the artist no dey blow. No be because Wizkid no get talent but because Wizkid glory too get talent. Wizkid glory dey outshine the upcoming artists. If you feature Wizkid for song, nobody go even know say you dey the song. Na Wizkid go carry all the glory…if you feature Wizkid for song you no go fit blow. Upcoming artist no suppose dey feature Wizkid for song. Nobody go know you na Wizkid go carry all the glory…”
