Nigerian TikTok sensation Peller has reportedly caught the attention of the FBI following revelations of his past involvement in internet fraud, known locally as “Yahoo-Yahoo.”
This news came from controversial investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo, who shared an audio post on her social media, claiming that an insider at the FBI informed her about Peller’s alleged history with cybercrime.
Olunloyo explained that the 19-year-old social media personality had previously acknowledged, in a TikTok session, that he once engaged in online fraud before shifting to a legitimate career as a content creator.
The journalist cautioned Peller to be mindful of his statements moving forward, warning that his past confessions could have serious legal repercussions. She compared his case to that of Hushpuppi, a well-known influencer now serving a sentence in the U.S. for similar offenses.
“If you know Peller, please tell him to keep quiet. He’s about to ruin his future by himself,” Olunloyo advised, highlighting the growing scrutiny on influencers suspected of online scams.
Her claim has sparked mixed reactions online, with some dismissing it as yet another “tall tale” from the journalist, while others stressed the potential gravity of the situation.
