In a strange-but-true story, a father raped his three-year-old daughter.
The ignoble act committed by an Igbo businessman, Chukwuemeka (surname withheld), a married father of two kids.
Though, the incestuous and shameful conduct was meant to be the family’s best kept secret, it, however, leaked after his wife and mother of the violated girl could no longer bear it anymore and had to confide in a close relative about how her husband willfully and serially raped their daughter in his bedroom.
The couple who resides along Okokomaiko, a suburb of Lagos, was pushed to the brink of dissolving their young union after the act was perpetuated.
Investigations by Sunday Express revealed that the deeply affected mother of the three-year-old (names withheld) was determined to save her marriage and that meant covering up her husband’s sin after his apologies and excuses that it was the devil that pushed him into the sordid act.
The traumatized wife when approached affirmed: “I just want to keep this away from the public, it is a disgraceful occurrence.
This is a family issue, so whether it happened or not is my business. I just want to keep my daughter and husband out of the public eyes.
However, a reliable source, who was also a relative of the embittered woman told SE reporter: “She confided in me that Chukwuemeka has been engaging in this unholy act for a very long time without anyone noticing.
Nobody suspected anything even the mother did not know until the child took ill. He did it to her even at night pretending as though he is petting her to sleep.
There were times when the mother was out of the house, and he was alone with the child. He would put his fingers inside her vagina. It all started with him fingering her, then later graduated into inserting his manhood.
His continuous action has made the innocent girl’s vagina to expand as she now urinates without control,” she said.
The child’s condition got worse and the mother noticed her daughter’s expanded vagina and the girl was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
“When asked, the innocent and abused girl admitted it was her father’s doing,” the source affirmed. “And when he was confronted about her daughter’s allegation, he did not deny it,” she alleged further.
The story eventually leaked and the street was buzzing with speculations that the shameless man must have committed the dastard act for rituals. What was supposed to be a close-guarded secret became an open secret that filled the air on the street.
The shameful act eventually got to the hearing of the family and the culprit consequently went underground. Although the family still lives in the neigbourhood, Chukwuemeka has since dropped out of sight.
Another concerned neighbour, who spoke with us on the condition of anonymity, said it was the culprit’s wife that shielded him from an intended mob action.
“Upon hearing the wicked act from a heartless and evil dad, we tried mobilizing ourselves to storm his house and possibly strip him naked, but his wife begged and cried that we should not make the matter a public case. And coming from the wife, we had to retreat.
We also suspected the man did it for ritual purposes, because no sane man will rape his own daughter let alone an innocent three year-old,” this insider disclosed.
When our reporter visited the Okokomaiko Police Station, an officer who does not want his name in print, said the case was not reported at their station and promised to alert us the moment the case reaches them.
