Fulani herdsmen killed a 56-year-old father and his son yesterday, in an attack at Iyale, in Dekina Local government area of Kogi State.
It was revealed that trouble started, when the herd men and their cows entered the farm of the deceased and ate the growing crops. According to the sources, this resulted in a fight between the two, leading to the death of the farmer and his 35-year-old son.
The community has now been thrown into mourning, as the corpse of the deceased were brought to the village.
When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Simon Ibe, said they are yet to confirm the incidence.
