The successful businessman Farooq Oreagba, known for his participation in the Ojude Oba festival, reveals his experiences dealing with incurable cancer and how his uncertain future has inspired him to live a fulfilling life. Farooq garnered attention for his unique style and presence at the annual Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Ode.
During a recent interview on Arise News, the leader of NG Clearing Limited shared how his connection to the festival through family traditions has spanned over 15 years. Farooq Oreagba also discussed his battle with bone cancer, disclosing that he received a diagnosis in 2014 and underwent a bone marrow transplant the same year. He emphasized his involvement in cancer charity work and providing support to others facing different types of cancer diagnoses.
Despite his incurable bone cancer, Farooq expressed his unwavering happiness and highlighted the importance of staying positive, stating, “I am alive, and as long as you’re in the game, you can win the game. Every day is a blessing.” He also detailed the impact of his diagnosis on his social circle, revealing that his friends dwindled from five million to one million after he left the Nigerian exchange, and further reduced to fewer than 100 after his cancer diagnosis.
