Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, on Saturday reacted to claim by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan doled out 100 billion naira and $290 million two weeks to the 2015 elections.
Berating the claim, the former Minister described it as false.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain maintained that the Vice President has turned himself into a “pernicious and unrepentant liar.”
In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Fani-Kayode, a staunch critic of the Buhari’s administration said Osinbajo peddles falsehood “just for a tiny morsel at Buhari’s table.”
The tweet read, “According to@ProfOsinbajo, @GEJonathan “doled out 100 billion naira and $290 million in 2 weeks just before the 2015 elections”.
“This is false. The VP has turned himself into a pernicious and unrepentant liar and a peddler of falsehood just for a tiny morsel at Buhari’s table.”
Osinbajo had said that the massive looting of the nation’s resources by the Jonathan’s administration was responsible for the economic crunch the country was suffering under the present administration.
He specifically said that before the 2015 elections, the government of Goodluck Jonathan, ostensibly doled out N100billion and $295million in cash within two weeks.
