In an early morning raid by gunmen in Plateau State on Wednesday, four members of the same family have been killed violently.
According to reports, the attack occurred in Wat village near Kuru in Jos South Local Government area and is coming about a week after a twin blast killed 118 people at the Terminus market, Jos.
Confirming the incident to newsmen in Jos, the Police Public Relations Officer and Superintendent of Police, Felicia Anselem, appealed to residents of the state to remain calm.
She said the police are making efforts to track down the perpetrators of the act.
