Nigerian singer and rapper Falz has finally addressed the ongoing nationwide protests against bad governance.
Nigerians began their nationwide protests on August 1st, demanding an end to bad governance, with today marking the second day of the demonstrations.
Falz, known for his strong stance against bad governance, expressed his frustration on the microblogging platform X, criticizing President Tinubu for ignoring the protests.
He questioned how long the president intends to ignore the masses before the situation escalates.
Falz wrote: “Genuinely don’t know why it’s so difficult to be humane. They say make you leave am, you no gree. Say na your birthright. You can’t now turn a deaf ear. You tried to make it look like the protests were “politically motivated”. Shebi una don see now? How long do you think you can keep on pushing the people back before it blows up in your face ?”
It is also notable that Afrobeat award-winning singer Burna Boy recently handed over the title of “African Giant” to Falz, distancing himself from the nationwide protests after being criticized by Nigerians in 2020.
