Nollywood actress and filmmaker Faithia Balogun Williams has reportedly lost her mother just a few hours after marking her 55th birthday.

Faithia celebrated her 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5, and later hosted a glamorous birthday party on Sunday, February 8.
The event was attended by several top Nollywood stars, including Malaika, Funke Akindele, Pasuma, Kazim Adeoti, Regina Chukwu, Fausat Balogun, and Shaffy Bello.
Shortly after the celebration, Faithia announced via her official social media pages that her mother had passed away just before the party took place.
She explained that her family kept the news away from her until after the event.

In her post, Faithia wrote, “Dear friends, it was my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5. However, I chose to have a party yesterday, Sunday. Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party and the news was cruelly kept away from me. The reality of her passing has not totally dawned on me because she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner wrapped in the invaluable gift of a mother.”
She also stated that the family intends to stay private during this period, with burial arrangements to be announced later.
