Hon. Enema Paul, the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, has died. He passed away early Saturday in a private hospital in Abuja after battling an undisclosed illness.
Before his demise, Hon. Paul represented the Okura State Constituency in the 8th Assembly of Kogi State. He had stepped down from his role as Deputy Speaker due to health challenges and was subsequently replaced by Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, the member representing Ibaji State Constituency.

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Paul. In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, the Speaker described the late lawmaker as a humble, team-oriented public servant committed to the unity and progress of Kogi State.
“Rt. Hon. Enema Paul was a friend, temperate, and devoted lawmaker who exemplified commitment to pro-people legislation for the development of our state,” he said.
The Speaker also highlighted Hon. Paul’s steadfast dedication to family values and his unwavering devotion to Christianity, which transcended religious boundaries.

The Speaker extended his heartfelt condolences to Hon. Paul’s immediate family and members of both the current and previous Assemblies, praying for strength and comfort during this time of loss.
