According to Punch, the pair were taken to court by Ladoja, the Otun Olubadan of Ibadan, over the recently awarded chieftaincy title by the state governor.
Legit.ng learned that the 10 newly anointed chiefs were also a part of the lawsuit that was submitted to the court.
Following Makinde’s permission of the elevation of chiefs on the advice of Oba Lekan Balogun, the mandated and consenting authority and Olubadan of Ibadanland, Ladoja took this move.
On Friday, July 7, Governor Makinde presented the state’s newly crowned kings with the staff of office.
Owolabi Olakulehin, Tajudeen Ajibola, Eddy Oyewole, Lateef Adebimpe, Biodun Kola-Daisi, and Kola Adegbola are the monarchs in question.
Others present at the event included Hamidu Ajibade, Olubunmi Isioye, Bayo Akande, and Abiodun Azeez; Ladoja, who had previously refused the promotion, was noticeably missing, according to Vanguard.
