Award-winning Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has shared an unexpected take on relationships, revealing that infidelity is not a dealbreaker for her.
Speaking on the Receipts Podcast via Spotify, the “African Bad Gyal” admitted that she has forgiven every partner who has ever cheated on her.
“I’ve been cheated on before. I found out and forgave every time. Every man I’ve ever been with has cheated, and I’ve never left them because of it. I’ve left for other reasons, but not because they cheated. Cheating is not my hill,” Tiwa explained.
While the singer expressed tolerance for infidelity, she stressed that dishonesty and disrespect are far more challenging for her to accept. Tiwa also reflected on the historical context of cheating, stating, “I know people say it’s bad that cheating isn’t a dealbreaker now, but I think it’s always been this way—even in the past, in the Bible, and throughout history.”
Her candid perspective has sparked mixed reactions online, with some commending her honesty and others debating her stance on fidelity in relationships.
