Mohamed Salah continues to make Premier League history with Liverpool, marking another milestone in the Reds’ 2024/25 season opener against Ipswich.
In Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over the Premier League newcomers, Salah both scored and provided an assist. He set up Diogo Jota for the opening goal before finding the net himself, securing the win on Liverpool’s first away trip of the season.
This performance added to Salah’s impressive record, allowing him to surpass legends like Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney. With his assist and goal, Salah has now contributed in every one of his eight Premier League opening fixtures.
The 32-year-old Egyptian forward has accumulated more goals (9) and goal contributions (14) on Matchday one than any other player in Premier League history.
Despite the change in management, Salah remains a key figure and is expected to be among the top scorers once again in the 2024/25 season.
Mohamed Salah has never failed to score or assist on the opening weekend of a Premier League season.
