Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has affirmed that manager Erik ten Hag continues to have the dressing room’s backing.
Maguire made the remarks after United squandered a two-goal lead to end in a 3-3 draw with FC Porto in the Europa League on Thursday.
Prior to the match, there were rumors surrounding Ten Hag’s job security following a 3-0 loss to Tottenham. Maguire, however, rescued a point for United by scoring a last-minute header.
With only two points from their first two Europa games, United now turn their attention to their upcoming match against Aston Villa in three days.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Maguire said, “I’ve been at this club for six years, and I know how things work. When results don’t go well, both players and the manager face pressure. But he’s experienced and has been here long enough to handle it. It’s part of the responsibility and privilege of being at this club.”
