The former governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, left Nigeria as soon as he withdrew from consideration for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ministry post.

El-Rufai was headed to Europe but will first stop in Egypt, according to a reliable source who spoke to Daily Trust.
The meeting between the former governor and Tinubu on Tuesday, August 8, in the presidential villa in Abuja was kept private, according to New Telegraph, which was published before his departure.
El-Rufai did, however, tell Tinubu that while he was no longer interested in holding the position of minister, he would still make his due share of private contributions to Nigeria’s advancement.
But El-Rufai, in an interview he granted before he handed power to his predecessor, Uba Sani in Kaduna state, reveal his final stance on ministerial portfolio in Tinubu’s government.
