Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria.
She arrived back in the country on Tuesday, marking a significant moment for her family and supporters.
Senator Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obinna Obeta were previously convicted by a UK court for their involvement in organ harvesting. The former deputy senate president received a 10-year prison sentence, while his wife was sentenced to six years.
Mrs. Ekweremadu’s return has been met with celebrations across Enugu State, with many expressing hopes for the swift return of Senator Ekweremadu as well.
