An Egyptian police officer was killed and five others were wounded in two explosions outside the Cairo University.
According to reports from the interior ministry, the police officer was killed in a twin bomb that went off near a police vehicle parked by the university’s campus outside the Cairo University this morning.
The Attacks on security forces have increased since the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood last year.
Meanwhile, the university has ordered the evacuation of the campus with security forces closing roads leading to the university while they combed the area for the perpetrators.
