An officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), identified as Polycarp, has been declared wanted for allegedly absconding with $30,000 and other valuables in Kaduna.
Polycarp, who was assigned to manage exhibits at the EFCC’s Kaduna zonal office, reportedly vanished after being unable to account for the missing funds.
While the EFCC has not released full details about the incident, reports indicate that the missing items include gold bars worth over ₦1 billion, $180,000, and £140,000.
This development follows shortly after the agency detained 10 officers in Lagos for failing to account for missing operational items.
