Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state, declared that Aminat Yusuf had been given automatic employment as a “honor” by his administration.
On June 29, Obaseki tweeted on his verified account that Yusuf will receive “an up-keep allowance” equal to the pay of a state attorney, “which is about N200,000,” according to The Cable.
According to The Guardian, the south-south state administration committed to continuing to recognize those who thrive on all fronts.
“We are honouring our outstanding daughter, Yusuf Aminat with automatic employment into the state’s public service and full scholarship for one year in the Nigerian Law School, where she will receive an up-keep allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel, which is about N200,000.
“As a government, we will continue to recognise excellence and reward our sons and daughters who bring pride to the state.”
