One of the French master artist Edagr Degas painting “Bellatina adjusting her slipper” has been stolen in Limassol Cyprus according to Cyprus Police.
The artwork which is valued at 6M euros is one of the many highly rated work of Degas between 1873 and 1874 who was widely considered as the founder of impressionism .
Bellarina adjusting her slipper was not insured according to a police rated which is also stated the robbers made away with seven gold watches and three gold opera glasses with a combined worth of 157,000 euros.
The police have arrested a 44year old Greek Cypriot man in connection to the “heist” and also have leads on two other “accomplices” a Russian and another South African Man.
