Scientists in America have found a break through in quest for cure of the Ebola virus citing success in experimental vaccines on monkeys.
The vaccine which was developed by the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and GlaxoSmithKline a pharmaceutical company was said to have afforded monkeys at least 10 months immunity to the virus.
Though it is not a long term contingency measure it is widely embraced as progressive with human trials of the vaccine starting this week in the US and later extending to the UK and Africa.
The vaccine which contains genetically altered chimp virus of two Ebola species is expected to help contain the disease which has killed over 2000 people in Africa creating pandemonium.
